Horses in the city

Who says there aren't horses in the city? 

Today on the way to school, Kailyn was saying how she wished she had a horse to ride to school, and then I got a call from a friend who said there is a horse at one of our local schools and would we like to come and see it?

 

 Needless to say, we didn't waste any time getting to the sweet horse. 

  

We even brought along our friend, Layne, to come and check out this rare occurrence of a horse in our neck of the woods.

Sundrop is an American Bashkir Curly Horse- a rare breed- that has curly hair! Who knew horses can have curly hair?

We even took a picture for the local newspaper to have because the editor happened to be walking by and was quite amused at the sight, so she asked for the pictures to be emailed to her.

So, Kailyn might not get to ride a horse to school, but who knows when a horse will be lurking around the neighborhood!
